Set a goal for yourself! I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to come up with some sort of weight loss goal or, if you're looking to gain muscle, a weight gain goal. Setting a goal gives you something to aim for, keeping you focused and willing to work. For example, if you are out to lose some weight, you can set a goal to lose 20 pounds and 2 inches from your waist in 3 months. When you set this goal for yourself do whatever it takes to reach it, but in a safe and healthy way.

Find a friend or family member to join you on your journey to reach your goal! Having someone with you every step of the way is very very important in keeping your motivation high. If you know anyone that is also looking to lose weight or pack on muscle, convince them to set a goal for themselves and work together to reach your individual goals.

Find a fitness program that will help you reach your goal! There are a ton of fitness programs out there that tailor to whatever goal you may set for yourself. These programs have excellent workout routines (often with video reference) and healthy diet plans to get you on the right track to reach that long sought after checkered flag: your personal goal. I know everyone has it in them to do it. It just takes motivation, a good friend and a healthy routine.
